The main building

Most of the building dates from about 1630-1650, when it was a coaching inn and guest house. The building that stands today is as it was in 1934. The architect Lindstrøm designed the building. There are 4 rooms on the upper floor with a fjord view, while 3 rooms have a view upwards to the valley. Rooms 20 and 23 are our biggest and best, with the most fantastic view of the rose garden and fjord. All the rooms are historical.

Tingstova

There are 4 unique guest rooms on the upper floor, sharing a pleasant veranda. All rooms have a view of both garden and fjord, apart from room 50, which has a view upwards to the valley. Tingstova is the oldest building at Walaker, dating from 1630.

The building was fully renovated in winter 2001/2 and the guest rooms now reflect the styles of four different epochs. These rooms are included in the historical rooms.

The annex-The new building from 1964

The annex is Walaker's newest building, built in 1964. The rooms in the annex are all good and large rooms, with a view of both the garden and the fjord. Fine, large bathrooms to all rooms and also good, comfortable garden furniture in front of every room. These rooms were renovated in the late 1990's and are the hotel's Superior rooms.
