Terms and conditions

Terms and conditions apply as a contract for bookings at Walaker Hotell.

The purpose is to bring clarity for reservations made at Walaker Hotell, and guarantee that Walaker Hotell can serve our customers in the best possible way.

These terms and conditions apply when no other written agreement has been med for the specific reservations.

Booking

Booking will not be guaranteed until Walaker Hotell has received your full name, e-mail address, telephone number and valid card information.

The guest will receive a booking confirmation through e-mail. If e-mail is not received within a reasonable time, the guest is obliged to contact Walaker Hotell by e-mail.

Walaker Hotell has the right to demand a non-refundable prepaid deposit.

Walaker Hotell reserve the right to change rooms booked within the same price category.

CHECK-IN - CHECK-OUT - CANCELLATION

Check-in after 16.00

Check out before 11:00

Cancellation of bookings must take place no later than seven (7) days before the agreed arrival. If the reservation is cancelled less than seven (7) days before the agreed arrival - the booking will be charged in total.

Payment of reservation will be done on the reservation date.

a 25% non-refundable deposit will be made on the reservation.

50% of the reservation is non-refundable 30 days prior to check-in.

75% of the reservation is non-refundable 15 days prior to check-in.

In case of a no-show of a confirmed booking will be charged 100%.

Cancellations of group travel and events (more than 5 rooms and/or more than 5 people) will be given a case-specific cancellation policy. General terms and conditions indicate that:

- Walaker Hotell can and will demand a non-refundable deposit.

- Cancellation must be made no later than 60 days before the agreed arrival.

- Cancellation after 60 days before arrival will be charged 50% of the reservation.

- Cancellation less than 30 days before arrival will be charged a minimum of 75% of booking.



For special reasons, you can waive the cancellation policy, see subchapter: Force majeure.

Force majeure

If an unforeseen event and or highly unlikely event outside Walaker Hotell's control, such as strikes, fires, and other things that result in the stay or activity not being carried out or prevent the hotel to accept guests, Walaker Hotell reserves the right to cancel the stay or activity without further responsibility for paying compensation.

Similarly, Force majeure may provide a change in the cancellation policy for guest.

In the event of unexpected illness or generally bad weather that is considered normal for the season in our region - it is not in itself part of Force majeure and does not change the current cancellation rules. If these events take place less than seven days before arrival (or after the agreed-upon cancellation policy), we will refer to travel insurance.

Insurance

We encourage all our guests to take out cancellation insurance with their own insurance company and include among other things cancellation due to illness. We also recommend all our guests to have valid travel insurance.

Damage

The guest is financially responsible for any damage caused to hotel rooms, furniture and or other equipment at the hotel.

Prices and payment

Walaker Hotell reserves the right to change prices as a result of increased costs for purchasing, services, currency, increased taxes and fees or other matters controlled by external parties.

Walaker Hotell encourages cashless payment by credit card, bank terminal is available - and accept MasterCard and Visa. Only Norwegian currency - NOK are accepted as cash settlement. Checks or traveller's checks are not approved payment option at Walaker Hotell.

Invoice payment, either pre-payment or post-stay payment must be agreed upon in advance.

Court

Any disagreement between parties can be brought before a local Norwegian court.
